Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST Must-Have: - Experience with decontamination of various surgical items including drills, scopes, and instrumentation. - Familiarity with sterilization processes including both Sterrad and steam sterilization. - Experience with HLD and scope reprocessing. - Proficiency with Censitrac tracking systems and Medivator experience. Description: We are seeking experienced candidates in all areas of the sterile processing department. This includes the decontamination of all items such as surgical drills, Da Vinci robotic systems, and various scopes. Candidates should be skilled in assembling all necessary instruments across service lines, including trauma and loaner instruments. Experience in sterilization processes is required, along with a strong understanding of high-level disinfection. Candidates need to have experience in sterile storage and should be familiar with working as a liaison in the operating room environment. This position involves tracking and allocating sterilized instrumentation as well as standardizing instrument trays across the facility. The role will require working flexible hours, including weekends and possibly holidays. Candidates must be adaptable and able to work during peak times in a busy surgical environment. Travelers with prior experience in a facility comparable to a level one trauma center are encouraged to apply.
